It may sound like a very basic thing – but many young filmmakers don’t know the proper terminology for framing. Believe me, you’ll learn it quick once a director or DP starts chewing on your ass from video village. These terms are mostly universal in English speaking countries. Many people quibble about what size a medium shot and an extreme close-up actually are. Given that most cameras are wearing zooms it’s easy to re-size to make everyone happy.
